  • In the 1940's the National Party intensified the legal segregation of racial groups        (#3 History of South Africa) 
  • Revolution
  • Apartheids laws put many restrictions on non-whites  so they started to complain. Also it was not equally treated for the non-whites because they couldn't do anything, marriage between races was illegal, whites had the best land, and non-whites couldn't particiapate in National Government             (# 2 Apartheid in South Africa).
  • Recovery
  • Desperate Poverty
  • People Protested that Mandela be released from prison (#2 Apartheid in South Africa). Also many races protested that the new constitution was still like the old one and they wanted change (#3 History of South Africa).
  • WE WANT A BETTER CONSTITUTION!!!
  • After the massacre the South African government outlawed the ANC (#2 Apartheid in South Africa). Botha proposed a new constitution (#3 History of South Africa). 
  • Nelson Mandela was freed and elected president, but during his time he faced some pretty big changes of "desperate poverty" (#1 South Africa History and Revolution).
