The sun glistened through Londyn's bedroom window and awoke her peacefully. Her stomach grumbled with hunger, so she hopped out of bed and descended the steps towards the kitchen.
MOM? DAD? ANYONE?
Londyn poured a large bowl of cereal, but when she sat down to eat, she noticed that her house was very quiet. She looked around, but she couldn't find either of her parent, yet when she peered out the window, both their cars were in the driveway.
Londyn decided that she would go outside and search for them in the yard, but they were nowhere to be found; which made her notice something strange. Her street, which was normally very busy with traffic, was completely empty!
I love you too honey.
She saw that the windows in every house were dark and there was no people in sight. She began to panic, so she started running and screaming in fear of the jeopardy that came with her current loneliness. Her body flew forward and hit the pavement suddenly.
Londyn's eyes opened abruptly and she sat up quickly. Her breathing was heavy and uneasy. Londyn leaped out of bed and ran down the steps fearing that she was stuck in a nightmare.
When she entered the kitchen she saw her mother and ran to her. Lonyn gave her mom a big hug and told her about the dream. Londyn realized how scary life would be without her family.
I just love you mom, and I don't know what I would do without you.
