Storyboard Text

  • Perhaps the jaguar does.
  • Who cares how a jaguar feels? They've no understanding!
  • I have to find where the gunshots came from!
  • AHHH!
  • Have I not told you I always mean what I say about hunting?
  • You couldn't possibly mean--
  • Hunters Rainsford and Whitney are traveling across the Carribean Sea to arrive at Rio to hunt in the Amazon. Rainsford and Whitney discuss the philosophy of hunting. When Whitney says hunting is not good for the prey, ignorant and selfish Rainsford remarked that they have no feelings.
  • OH NO!
  • Ha ha ha...
  • When the night arrives, Rainsford stays out to smoke his pipe. He couldn't see anything it was so dark, and when he dropped his pipe and went to catch it he fell off the ship! He swam to eerie "Ship-Trap Island" nearby. He was very worried about what he would do next.
  • Rainsford came upon a large mansion and met owners General Zaroff and Ivan. He quickly learned that Zaroff was a hunter bored of his animal subjects and hunted humans. Rainsford was shocked when he realized that Zaroff would not let him leave until Rainsford and Zaroff played his hunting game.
  • I've never slept in a better bed...
  • Rainsford headed out in the jungle, nervous and scared. He told himself that he must keep his nerve. He climbed a tree in the brush thinking himself clever, but was found by Zaroff. He only looked up and walked away. Rainsford was confused and started panicking.
  • Rainsford ran to another part of the jungle and built many booby traps along the way to slow down Zaroff. Zaroff and his hunting dogs find him and corner him at the edge of a cliff. He was unsure what to do, and thought he was defeated. He leaped off the cliff to the ocean below.
  • To Zaroff's astonishment, Rainsford survived the jump and swam to Zaroff's mansion. Angry and determined, Rainsford called a duel, and Zaroff was excited and accepted the challenge. Zaroff declared that the winner would get to sleep in his comfortable bed. Victorious, Rainsford remarked that he had never slept in a better bed.
