OceanThe ocean contains a lot of carbon dioxide. Some of which is disolved. The dissolved CO2 can be used in a process called photosynthesis.
Ocean exchange
Animals in the ocean are very involved in the carbon cycle. Some animals convert carbon in their diet and then release it back into the atmosphere.
The tree is going through a process called photosynthesis. The process helps plants to make food. Plants use sunlight to combine carbon dioxide within cells that contain chlorophyll.
A process called respiration takes place in all living things. Energy is released from glucose using oxygen. The products are carbon dioxide and water.
As well as going through the process of photosynthesis Plants respire just like animals.
Atmosphere (nitrogen and carbon in atmosphere)
Combustion (burning) is represented in the carbon cycle as the burning of fossil fuels. Which are released in the atmosphere. The fossil fuels are filled with carbon
The dead animal is going through a process called decomposition which is the breaking down of organic matter by other living things. Decomposers release the carbon into the atmosphere through a process called resperation
