  • Oh! This slice of cork looked like a honey comb. Made up of tiny units and has chambers.
  • Schwann, I observed that plant tissues are also composed of cells. I should talk to Schwann so that he can also have an idea about this
  • A German botanist named Matthias Schleiden discovered observations between plant tissues that composed of cells. Schleiden later had gone to Schwann, his fellow scientist to discuss about his observation.
  • Oh Schwann come and take a look on what i observed.
  • Later on, a German physiologist named Theodor Schwann, made an observation after a conservation with Schledein. Plant and animal tissues have similarities. This idea became the foundation of plants and animals are cells.
  • Let me see? Does plant cell and animal cells have similarities?
  • After working for months, finally I have some convincing evidences that cells are derived from other cells.
  • In 1852, a prominent neurologist and embryologist named Robert Remak published an convincing evidences about cells.
  • I should publish an essay about cell entitled "Cellular Pathology"
  • Three years later, a well respected pathologist named Rudolf Virchow published an editorial essay entitled "Cellular Pathology" which was similar to Remak's work. This created a controversy as to which scientist should give credit for articulating cell theory.
