In memory of our dear Augusta Ada King, Countess of Lovelace. a prolific mathematician, writer and member of the family. she remains in our hearts! amen 1815-1852
my name is Augusta Leigh, Ada's half-sister. I had promised Ada that if it was the last thing I do was to tell her life story. to show that women can also be as great as men. to inspire and enrich the minds of young girls that the sky is the stepping stone. without further or do, this is the story of Augusta Ada King, countess of Lovelace
Ada was born on the tenth of December 1815 as the daughter of Lord Byron and Anne Isabella Milbanke. Being a Victorian girl usually meant learning feminine subjects like sewing but her mother taught her mathematics and logic in its finest nature.
