  • EXPOSITION
  • Yay! It's the last day of school, and it is lottery day! lets pick up some rocks!.
  • CONFLICT
  • Everyone choose a piece of paper
  • RISING ACTION
  • In the beginning, it was the last day of school, and the lottery was on the same day. So the children picked up rocks and went to the lottery
  • CLIMAX
  • The lottery was when each family picks a piece of paper, and if they have a black dot on the piece of paper, then they have to choose who gets rocks thrown at them in their family. This happens because they use it as a population control.
  • FALLING ACTION
  • Then all the families in the village choose their pieces of paper. So far no one go the black dot yet.
  • RESOLUTION
  • Then all of the husbands went up and unfolded their papers. All of the women were talking. Then Bill Hutchinson opened the paper and got the black dot. Then Tessie said that it wasn't fair, but everyone disagreed with her.
  • Then they put everyone in the Hutchinson's family on a piece of paper and gave one to everyone in the family. Then Tessie got the black dot on the piece of paper. And everyone gasped.
  • Then everyone got pebbles for throwing. Tessie screamed "This isn't fair!" And then people started throwing stones at her.
