King George has to do something after this! We're asking respectfully.

What weapons and gunpowder?
I say we pick George Washington!
We need someone to lead the army.
1st Continental Congress- In September, 1774, 50 leaders got together to unite and respectfully send a message to king George that urged their complaints and asked to recognize their rights.
Battles at Lexington and Concord- It was April 17th ,1775. It started off with a secret attack at night by the British in search for the stolen weapons and gunpowder. Little did the British know, the colonists had spies including Paul Revere and others whos stormed back to the colonies. The British wiped through Lexington with 8 colonists dead when they first met in Lexington. In the morning they arrived at Concord where the Red Coats were now running away. This proved the colonists would die for their rights
2nd Continental Congress- On may 10th, 1775, the same 50 leaders at the 1st continental congress met in Philadelphia to discuss who leads the New England army. They later decided on George Washington.
