Scrooge is a miserable, cold-hearted man who hates Christmas. On Christmas Eve his nephew came to his shop who loves Christmas and invited Scrooge to a Christmas dinner who refused the offer. He also yelled at some charity workers who asked for a donation for the poor which he also refused.
Scrooge went home as usual and after a while he had a visit from his work partner (dead for 7 years) as a ghost. He tells Scrooge that 3 spirits will come to him over the next 3 nights. That night Scrooge woke up to the Ghost of Christmas Past, a small, elderly figure. He shows Scrooge his past from when he was a young boy.
Scrooge falls asleep again and is awoke by the Ghost of Christmas Present. He shows him several scenes of joy and happiness, then the Cratchit household. The ghost informs him that unless the future changed Tim Cratchit will die. He then warns Scrooge to beware of ignorance.
Then the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come replaces the other ghost and several scenes of people dicussing someones death. No one is in pain and they are almost happy. Scrooge realises that it was him that had died and they were almost pleased by his death. He expresses the hope that he can change this.
Scrooge wakes up and realises the adventure was only one night not three which meant it was Christmas Day. He was being smiley ad friendly to everyone he saw, sends a large turkey to the Cratchits, gives a donation to charity and has a good time at Fred's party.
The next day Scrooge gave Cratchit a raise. After Christmas he continued to be kind, befriending everyone and becoming Tim's second dad, who doesn't die. He never saw the ghosts again but he kept the spirit of Christmas alive in his heart like everyone else.
