After Romulus properly buried his brother, he named his city, Roma, after himself. He implemented Senates and patricians. However, his city was filled with refugees and no women, so he kidnapped some from, Sabine, a nearby city. Which upset them and caused war. Rome slaughtered them and it became Rome's first successful war.
The defeated king of Sabine grew even more angry and decided to storm the city of Roma. They were almost successful, until Romulus began praying to Jupiter. Jupiter saved the Romans.
Even though, Roma defeated the Sabines, a truce was made. Together the two rulers ruled the kingdom. They used each others calendars, religion and other customs. This rule lasted 5 years until Tatius died. After his death, Romulus expanded the territory of Roma and even included Alba Longa.
