Story board plot line of the The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell
Setting: The Ocean, and Ship-trap Island. Rainsford, a well-known hunter, is traveling in a boat near Ship-Trap Island. He falls overboard and is left stranded on the beach of the Island.
Rainsford finds a large house. There he meets Ivan, who is a servant, and General Zaroff, the owner of the Island. Zaroff takes Rainsford in, and tells him about his hunting experiences.
Rainsford learns that to be able to leave the Island he has to compete in a three day game where he is hunted by General Zaroff. Rainsford outruns and sets traps for the General, Ivan, and his vicious hounds.
Trapped, Rainsford jumps off a cliff and lands in the ocean. He survives the fall and climbs up into Zaroffs bedroom and waits for him.
Rainsford ambushes Zaroff and both men fight. Whoever wins the battle, this battle being to the death, will be able to sleep in Zaroff's bed.
The story end with Rainsford in Zaroff's bed. Rainsford says he has never slept so soundly in his entire life. THE END
