Mood and Tone
Tom and his wife are poor. All they want is to be wealthy in life. They plan to do what it takes to get the money they want. They decide to make a deal with the Devil.
Tom has now lost his wife to the Devil. The Devil gets Tom and his soul to die. Tom dies and loses everything he had. This is all because of his greed.
The mood of the story was dark, depressing, and suspensful. The tone seemed to be mysterious and gloomy. I think that the characters deserved what they got because to me, greedy is an evil thing. Yes, I liked this story simply because everything fell into place.
