The Oregon Trail is the longest trail used for American Westward Expansion
There were many dangers faced on the trail such as snake bites, Indian attacks and weather.
These dangers could result in death of loved ones.
The immigrants faced harsh weather that endangered the people and the animals.
At night, immigrants had to be cautious, in case of an attack by either Indians, or animals. It also could get very cold so they had to stay close together and stay by the fire.
The trail is still well known today and people come to visit it and learn about its history.
