The Underground Railroads was a group of routes that was made by Abolitionists to help the slaves runaway and be free. It was led by Rev. Rankin. Not everyone in town agreed with the Abolitionists but they found a way to secretly make it be successful.
Women of the Abolition
There was also a group of men made to capture the runaway slaves and return them to their masters. The men would watch day and night in search for runaway slaves. Even though they might've caught quite a few, much more made it through victorious .
Fugitive Slave Act
The women in the beginning didn't have as much importance as much as the men did. They just had to sit back and support everything the men were doing and weren't allowed to give their input. That was until women decided that it was time for them to be treated equally just as the men were.
