  • Good morning class, today we will explain the lesson in a different way, first I will ask questions you might already know, whoever gets them right will get a bonus on your next test.

  • The lesson is about graphing a function and how to graph a function if they were fractions, we use functions to use mathematical models and analyze change in both real and abstract contexts.
  • who knows what are the steps needed to graph a function?
  • I know I know, first we have to find the intercepts of the function if the Y intercept is given, then we equalize the numerator by zero to find the x
  • second, we find the vertical asymptotes by setting the denominator equal to zero and solving
  • the third step is to find the horizontal asymptotes if they exist by using the fact that have said befotre
  • And last but not least, we sketch the graph.
