Storyboard Text

  • Hello, I'm Lance the astronaut. Have you ever wondered why we have moon phases?
  • We have Moon phases because of the tilt of Earth, and the Earth revolving around the Sun.
  • They are 8 Moon phases. (in order) ~ New Moon ~Waxing Crescent ~1st Quarter ~Waxing Gibbous ~Full Moon ~Waning Crescent ~3rd Quarter ~Waning Gibbous During the full or new moon there's always a eclipse.
  • SUN
  • The Moon phase cycle goes in a counter clockwise direction.
  • EARTH
  • Remember, waxing means growing and waning means shrinking. White on the right growing bright, white on the left losing light.
  • new moon
  • waxing gibbous
  • waxing crescent
  • first quarter
  • full moon
  • waning crescent
  • third quarter
  • waning gibbous
  • Your on Earth when you see the Moon, just stating the facts. Now, where did I park my rocket?
