Storyboard Text

  • Hey, can you tell me about Mars?
  • Yes young lad.
  • Mars is name Mars because when Roman Astronomers saw it and thought it was red as blood so they named it  after the Roman god of war.
  • How did we teleport here?
  • There have been 15 spacecrafts to go to Mars since 2004 ,but the first successful one was Mariner 4. This spacecraft transmitted photos of Mars.
  • I am still confused.
  • It is Earths neighbor being 49 million miles away from it. Compared to Earth it has a thinner atmosphere, about 11% of the mass ,and 53% of the diameter.
  • Oh well.
  • Mars Topography is dry, rocky surface with a iron-rich dust. On the northern hemisphere it is low-lying plains ,but on the southern hemisphere it is filled with impact craters. The ground is filled with permafrost for several kilometers.
  • Okay thanks for the information now I can do my project.
  • You are welcome. Now you can get a 100% in Mrs. Edoog's class
