This storyboard does not have a description.
Of course! There is prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. Would you like me to explain them?
Mom do you know what mitosis is?
In prophase which is the first part of mitosis the nuclear membrane disintegrates and the centriols move to opposite ends of the cell. Then, this is when the chromatids first become visible.
Okay and in metaphase is when the chromatids line up in the middle of the cell. I can remember that by remembering that meta means middle.
That's right and in anaphase this is when the chromosomes seperate and move away from each other.
In telophase which is the very last phase of mitosis a new nucleus forms around each set of chromosomes.
Thanks Mom! I understand perfectly now!
