Storyboard Text

  • Freedmen's Bureau is now in effect, March 3rd, 1865.
  • Freed African-American slaves learn that with Freedmen's Bureau there is a chance for them to have an education, a job, food and shelter.
  • Freedmen's Bureau was only for freed slaves. Not for slaves currently working.
  • As soon as the Freedmen heard about this opportunity, they got shelter and food for themselves.
  • The 14th and 15th Amendments gave former slaves greater government access.
  • Here is your government access!
  • Now that everything is civilized, we will have a greater life in the United States!
