- In chapter 10 The Johanssons had the Rosens come over to give them clothes and blankets to go to Sweden with. So they knew the Nazi’s would find out so Mama came up with an idea to make a fake funeral so Great Aunt Birte was a made up character.

- The doctor said it should be closed Because Great Aunt Birte died of Typhus, and he said there was a chance the germs would still be there.
