  • This rock is Igneous because it was formed through cooling and solidification of magma or lava. Some types of igneous rock is basalt, granite, and rhyolite.
  • Sedimentary rocks are types of rocks that are formed by sediments.  They are also formed by the deposition. Some types of sedimentary rocks are limestone, sandstone, coal, and shale.
  • This rock is metamorphic because it is has been changed by extreme heat and pressure. Some types of metamorphic rocks is schist, slate, and phylite. 
  • This is intrusive igneous rock because it cools inside the earth. Some types of this rock is granite, diorite, and basalt.
  • This rock is a detrital sedimentary rock because it is transported as solid particles. They are of grains and shale. Some examples of this rock is sandstone, shale, and chert. 
  • This rock is called chemical sedimentary rock because form by precipitation of minerals from water. Some examples of a chemical sedimentary rocks are limestone, halite, coal, and silt stone.
