  • The Potato experiment (Scientific Method)
  • Good Afternoon, Joe. Wait, what are you doing, you are eating potato chips. I think you should eat baked potato instead.
  • I am a potato
  • I don't think there is anything wrong with eating potato chips, Peter, I think potato chips are better than eating baked potato.
  • We are the chips
  • Research
  • Searching.... Searching... Searching... There it is!
  • Hypothesis
  • If......, Then..... I think baked potatoes are better.
  • If......, Then...... I think potato chips are better.
  • One day in a trailer near Omaha, Nebraska, Peter (in the gray shirt and jeans) and Joe (in the green t-shirt and purple shorts) were wondering what they should eat for lunch. Peter wanted baked potato and thought it gave more energy, and Peter wanted to eat potato chips, which he thought it gave much more energy than potato chips. So they made a question,"Which food gave more energy, baked potato or potato chips?"
  • The Experiment
  • Oh My Oh my I'm dying
  • In South Omaha Library, Peter and Joe were researching about the energy benefits of each type of food. (Baked Potato and potato chips).
  • Collecting Data
  • Huff Huff I am not running for the next week!
  • We ran a faster time when we ate baked potato than potato chips.
  • Then after a half an hour researching about the energy benefits of each food, Joe made a hypothesis, "If I tested which food gave more energy, then potato chips give more energy than baked potato because chip are tastier." While Peter made a hypothesis, "If I tested which is food gave more energy, then baked potatoes are better than potato chips because baked potatoes don't have added oil, salt, and it isn't fried."
  • Making a conclusion and sharing results
  • In the experiment we ........ Our conclusion is ...... And send
  • In the nearest block, Peter and Joe ate either potato chips or baked potato, ran the whole block, and timed each other how fast they could run after eating each food.
  • Potato chips are no bueno Huff Huff
  • After the experiment, they gathered data and compare their results with their hypothesis, and saw which one's hypothesis was correct. They wrote it down on a piece of paper and went inside to rest after running around the block twice.
  • I'll start making the baked potato.
  • After they had gather their results, they made a conclusion that they were able to do more activities when eating baked potato than potato chips. Then they uploaded the data and their conclusion on their weekly blog. For lunch the next day had baked Potato. The End.
