I believe that I can be even more beautiful than Athena.
And such an alter like this might be made for me one day!
I would be such a better model for these sculptures!
Long ago, there was a woman named Medusa living in Athens. Many thought she was very beautiful. Medusa caught note of this and started to brag. Her boasts were very high and she would believe she was the most beautiful person in the world.
One day Medusa decides to go to The Parthenon with some friends. As everyone was thinking on how amazing Athena is, Medusa was thinking about how beautiful she was. She would later make the biggest mistake of her life.
When looking at the sculptures made for Athena,Medusa though how better it would look if it was her. Her thoughts were the same for the paintings. When she got to the alter she made the mistake of saying how more pretty she is and how this alter should be for her.
You do nothing, but admire yourself!
As she was talking many people heard her. Many started to file out of the building. They were worried that Athena has heard what Medusa has said.
So absorbed in her own beauty Medusa didn't even notice everyone had left. Once she finally noticed she saw someone in the reflection of the gold door. It was Athena starring angrily back at her.
Athena was really mad at Medusa. She told Medusa that life had more than being beautiful. Athena told Medusa she did nothing but useless admiring.
