Indian in Need of Intervention
CONFLICT: Arnold is bullied at his reservation by his own people and he feels trapped there, so he moves to an all white school down the road for a better opportunity. He doesn't feel like he fits in either place.
CLIMAX: Arnold scores against Rowdy. SIMILE: Reading this book is like talking to an old friend; it's comfortable and honest.
RESOLUTION: Arnold is accepted and respected by both groups. THEME: Indian reservations are spider webs that trap the Native Americans. They are left untouched for a while, and they think they will be safe, but then the spider comes along and slowly sucks the life out of them until they are hollowed out carcasses.
