Storyboard Text

  • Hey I'm new to town and ready to start being a man of God could you tell me anything about this church
  • Hey man I'm glad you're here I'm kinda new here too and I don't know a lot but I am really into philosophy and admire Plato's look on God
  • Here I have some notes on my phone I took in class yesterday, care to take a look?
  • Plato’s contribution to philosophy includes ideas relevant to the philosophy of religion. In Plato’s Laws is the earliest surviving fully developed cosmological argument, though it is not an argument for a single First Cause but rather for at least two, one accounting for good and the other accounting for evil. An early form of the teleological argument can also be found in his works. The Euthyphro dialogue also contains a discussion of the relationship between God and morality, and is often cited as the source of the Euthyphro dilemma, an argument against divine command theory.
  • For sure I'm very open-minded
  • I'm glad you're finding this stuff interesting and how science plays a role with how the universe exists but not with knowing God. Yes I am very down to talk about this more I love this stuff.
  • Hey man I am really interested in what you were talking about earlier and how Plato is true about the moral reality of god and how cosmological plays a role in all of this and he knew about this 2000 years before telescopes were invented. I had to check this out during this service. Wanna go grab some coffee and talk about this plato guy more?
