  • How much longer will it take to get out of here?
  • Hey, good to see you, Chris
  • Yeah, sure, that's what everybody says.
  • Chris gets lost in the Mojave Desert and nearly succumbs to dehydration. After returning home and given advice on his travels by his parents, he no longer wants to share his plans anymore.
  • How could they keep this a secret from me. My parents made my entire childhood seem like a fiction.
  • Chris changes throughout college. It is noted by his friends that he became very introverted and cold
  • Why are my parents meddling with my life. The letter they sent is stupid, what a bunch of imbeciles.
  • Chris takes a trip to California in the El Segundo neighborhood.
  • I cant wait until I finally leave to Alaska.
  • Chris learns that his father, Walt, continued his relationship with Marcia after Chris was born and later he fathered another child, Quinn.
  • Chris seldom contacted his parents that year and was not able to be contacted because he had no phone. His mother send a letter but Chris thinks of it as a nuisance.
  • Chris pretends he is happy during his graduation. He tells his family that he was planning another extended trip and that he would see them before he leaves. In reality he was ready to leave his family behind and vanish from their lives.
