But on the other hand, we don’t want to separate from Canada, and although it would be nice to have some sense of sovereignty, I personally believe that our attachment to Canada is what matters more.
Now, on one hand, we DO want to be recognized as a distinct society, with our own language, our cultures, etc.
Wait, wait wait, none of that really made sense, there’s so much tension going on between the French-Canadian nationalists, and the rest of Canada.
Well you see, this is a very complex issue, my language, French is such an important part of my life and the English fail to respect that!
I mean, we have identified French as a language.
The language barriers still play too much of a role here, Canada is pretty much English dominated! North America as a whole even!
Canada has always been known for the diversity and multiculturalism it offers, we pride ourselves on the fact that we accept everyone!
Well actually, this makes us a melting pot of some sort, assimilation is always subconsciously taking place, which is why, us French men are trying to resist.
As a matter of fact, back when my great grandfather was still alive, it was never about acceptance, or peace and prosperity. It was all about imperialism!! But I mean, nowadays it’s more about acceptance than it used to be, which is in my opinion at least, a good thing.
Yeah that makes sense. Well, I hope we can talk more about this in the future. I have to go now, bye!
Yeah so now that I’ve explained it to you, what do you think?
