Perhaps I was wrong. Perhaps the poor aren't as... idle as I first thought. Perhaps, they deserve my help. Either way, the next ghost is the one that I fear most, but it will all be over soon.
Scrooge was then shown to his nephew's house, where they were having a party. People were saying bad things about Scrooge but his nephew defended him. Scrooge joined in with the games, despite no-one knowing that he was there.
Finally, The Ghost shows Scrooge Ignorance and Want, explaining that 'they are man's' and that they are sown throughout society. He also says that Ignorance is the one that Scrooge should look out for, as it relates to him.
Scrooge asks 'have they no refuge or resource?' to which the Ghost replies 'Are there no prisons? Are there no workhouses?' Scrooge is then left to await the next and final Ghost.
