  • How come the government taxes the citizens???
  • What if I'm over taxed and go bankrupt?!
  • Don't worry, tax brackets are put in place by the government to ensure that you are not over taxed. 
  • In order for the government to pay for infrastructure and the military they have to tax the citizens.
  • The constitution says nothing about banks so how are banks able to tax us?!
  • The McCullough vs. Maryland trial settled that banks are necessary in order for congress to collect taxes. This is an Impllied power. 
  • Who makes these laws on taxing?! I ought to have a word with them!
  • Congress appoints certain judges to the courts, who then make these types of taxing laws.
  • Can Congress Send us to war with foreign countries?
  • Yes. Congress has the power to investigate foreign affairs and relations. If they see fit the have specific war powers that can declare war on another country. 
  • What else does congress do that I may not know about?
  • You may not know that Congress is in charge of the postal services. Congress has the enumerated power to design  mail routes to deliver U.S. mail.
