"Dialogue achieves its power in the dynamics of a fleeting moment..."
Words are more powerful said that written
I wonder what that word means and why did he use?
Nigger this and nigger that....
This means that saying what you have to say is more power to it than if you read it from your perspective.
"What does the word nigger mean?"
Let me explain what it means...
"I remember the first time I heard the word nigger. In my third-grade class, our math tests were being passed down... He snatched his test from me and spit out the word."
"The dynamics were the exact opposite: the people in my grandmother's living room took a word that whites used to signify worthlessness or degradation... they transformed nigger to signify... complex humans beings..."
This is the first time she heard the word in a rude manner. She asked her mom what it means because she is going to grow up in America.
I believe that the author's purpose is that there is more meaning behind a word. If you don't have nothing nice to say keep it in your head. Also words are more powerful said than written down.
My opinion on the n word is only blacks should use it because when whites use it it has a negative vibe to it. I think when people use let be in a good way i guess. To me this is one of those issues that can't be solved.
