  • They also kept harsh discipline to their children. If kids misbehaved or were lazy then they would be poked with the spines of cactus, or even made to breath in the smoke of burning chili peppers. Chili peppers were also traded during the Columbian Exchange to the New World.
  • The Atecs also had an elite group of men that served as the army and were called the Jaguar Warriors. They would have obsidian swords called macuahuitl, or dart throwers called atlatl. They would wear different headresses to signify their rank.
  • Exactly! Today I learned how people felt throughtout all of our adventures. To review, we learned about the Sub Saharan Africa, the Black Death, the Columbian Exchange, Feudalism, and the Americas.
  • Woah we are back. I guess it was time for us to be in the present and not the pass. I learned so much about the history of trading and government from looking at places that these were popular.
