Storyboard Text

  • Hello! I'm Corny Cornflakes. Now you may be used to eating me for breakfast. But my grandfather, the first cereal looked and tasted a lot different than me.
  • Grandfather Granula was first made in 1863, by a Dr. James Caleb Jackson. He called the cereal Granula.
  • To make the first cereal, Dr. Jackson mixed together gram flour and water. It was then baked into nuggets.
  • The dense bran nuggets then had to be soaked in milk overnight in order to be edible.
  • Now look at how far we'be come! Now people don't have to soak their cereal in milk, but some do anyway. Cereal now is a sugary treat that we eat daily for breakfast!
