The environment which we live in, is quite essential to our overall health.
Some key aspects which effect our health are: the air we breath, the food we consume/where that food is produced, the water which we drink and much much more.
There are many things that us people do which effect the environment in a negative way. The exhaust from our cars and the pesticides used in agriculture are detrimental to the air we breath and the water we drink; causing immense amounts of pollution.
Another big example is chemicals hair spray. The chemicals are called chloroflourocarbons and are released into the air while using hairspray. These chemicals react with the oxygen in the ozone thus breaking holes in the ozone layer. As a result, harmful UV rays from the sun are able to come through and come in contact with people on the Earth.
All of these examples, can be a cause for worsening health of the general public. If we drink water polluted by chemicals used in agriculture, people can get very sick and possibly die. Also if we breath in polluted air, it can affect people/s llungs and their overall health
So, even though we may not see the effect on our environment and overall health now, years from now our actions may cause the overall health of the public to decrease drastically.
