  • The meeting consists of the teacher, Anne's parents, and the school counselor / behaviour specialist. This meeting is set by the end of Tier 1 so the teacher has flagged Anne as a student who may have ADHD and needs more behavioural and academic support.
  • Thank you for coming to this meeting...We are all here because we want to help Anne achieve academic success...
  • The school counselor is in the meeting to help answer questions parents may have and also to give advice when needed. Parents are shown grade-level expectations and data on Anne's behaviour and class performance she they'll understand how Anne's behaviour affects her academics.
  • This is a log of classwork she was able to complete ontime and the ones she didn't because she had a difficult time focusing...
  • By the end of the meeting, strategies on managing Anne's behaviour in class and at home will have been discussed and agreed on. The teacher will update parents on Anne's progress or lack of it until the next meeting.
  • ...I will message you on Seesaw whenever Anne participates in class and finishes her work, then maybe you could decide what to reward her for accomplishing her daily goal.
