Storyboard Text

  • St Paul, also known as Saul, ethnically was Jewish, but he was born a Roman Citizen in Tarsus, Cilicia, South Turkey, into a wealthy Jewish family, and had one sister.
  • While he was still fairly young, he was sent to Jerusalem to receive his education at the school of Gamaliel,[Acts 22:3] one of the most noted rabbis in history.
  • During his early life, St Paul admitted to being party to the persecution of Christians such as the stoning of Stephen, a Christian.
  • When he was riding to Damascus, he fell off his horse and heard Jesus talk to him, then was blinded for three days. He spent those three days praying to the Lord.
  • Then Ananias of Damascus arrived, he laid his hands on him and said Jesus had appeared to him and sent him to fill Paul with the Holy Spirit. His sight was restored, he got up and was baptized.
  • Paul traveled over 10,000 miles proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. His journeys on land and sea took him primarily through present day Israel, Syria, Turkey, and Greece.
