These people all represent the main political parties of Canada: The Liberal, NDP Party, The Green Party and the Conservatives.
We want a Canadian Environmental Bill of Rights to encourage environmental information and decision-making rights for citizens. We want to support sustainable green infrastructure financially, which includes climate change and growing the economy. We plan to tax carbon in order to reduce carbon pollution. We plan to have a Low Carbon Economy Trust that we will put 2 billion in.
We want plastics out of our water! We love community clean up projects! We are not in support of the Pipeline. We believe money should be invested instead in clean, renewable energy sources which can also grow the economy. We want to move away from fossil-fuel and move toward alternative energies like solar, wind, wave, and geothermal sources. We promise to create a National Water Strategy to protect all of our waters.
We will end the use of fossil fuel. We will not increase or decrease tanker traffic. We do not support the Pipeline project. We have a vision to protect the forest. We want to protect the fish with improved legislation. We want to improve urban transportation and make it more green. We want to encourage ecotourism. We are excited to improve rail transportation in Canada.
We want to hold China and the United states countable for their emissions. We believe that the government should promote alternate energy. It is important to clean up contaminated sites. The Pipeline should be doe responsively.
My opinion is that the Green party has the best platform for the environment. Through the research that I have done with the four political parties, the Green party has the most specific and in depth plans of what they plan to improve and change for the future of our environment. And the party that concerns me the most in regards to the environment is the Conservative party because they seem to be very limited in the changes that they would make and they seem more concerned about the financial situation.
