Storyboard Description

the party where Julia brings Hadassah, and she is condemned to die.

Storyboard Text

  • Of what race is your slave?  Judean?!?  I hate Judeans.  THEY KILLED MY SON!
  • I'm sorry my lord.  I didn't know.
  • If you pick up the torch you will declare Vespasian GOD.  If you don't, you'll die.
  • Julia (center wearing red) took her slave Hadassah (left) to a party at Vitellius' house.  Hadassah was a Jew, and Vitellius hated Jews because they killed his son.  Everything was going great until Vitellius' approached Julia and Hadassah...
  • Oh, God.  Help me.  Keep me strong.
  • Hadassah was serving Julia and doing her duties when Vitellius approached.  he asked Julia if Hadassah had been tested to see if she would accept the Roman gods.  This was exactly what Julia wanted, so she said that Hadassah hadn't (which was true) and that it should happen right then and there.
  • Vitellius' servants brought out the emblems and the torch.  If Hadassah lifted the torch, she proclaimed Vespasian God.  If she didn't, she would be fed to the lions.
  • Here's the money, Elymas
  • Thank you, Vitellius
  • Hadassah was tempted to pick up the torch to save her life but decided against it.  After all, wouldn't God fight for her because she loved Him?
  • Julia wasn't happy with this decision, she just wanted to punish Hadassah, not kill her.  Julia started to beat Hadassah with her fists until she knocked her out.
  • After Julia knocked Hadassah out, she gave her to Vitellius.  Vitellius then, in turn, sold her to a man named Elymas, who bought slaves for the lions.
