  • No problem, so the first step to writing expressions, is to know what it means! An expression is a number sentence without an equal sign.
  • Oh, like 15x -3
  • Yeah, you're on the right track! Writing an expression is basically having a word problem or phrase that you have to write as an expression . 
  • For example: 8 less than 48 the written expression for this is 48-8. *Note: the parts of an expression is called a term.
