Storyboard Text

  • In volleyball, many forces of physics are in play. These forces include impulse, momentum, and collisions.
  • In volleyball, the player uses momentum when they serve the ball, and when they go for a hit. they run and use their legs to propel them forward with great force.
  • In volleyball, the player uses impact forces when they hit the ball. Whether  it is during a  pass, hit, or serve, all three use impact force . When  the players arm or hand comes in contact with the ball, it creates an impact force that propels the ball across the court.
  • In volleyball, collision force is used every time the ball comes in contact with a player. the power and momentum from the player pushes off on the ball and pushes it in the opposite direction sending it across the court.
  • In volleyball, if a player would like to improve, they should work on building more momentum, creating a bigger surface area where they hit so the ball has a bigger impact force, and following through on their collisions with the ball.
  • So, in conclusion, volleyball uses many different physics concepts and forces. These can help improve a players skill if they know how to properly use them. they are a very valuable asset in everyday (and sports) life.
