Storyboard Text

  • Dupin
  • Who is the victim?
  • I cannot tell you that. Let's call her Madame D.
  • A letter has been purloined!
  • Girbaud
  • Trudeau
  • Who did it then?
  • At Madame D's house...
  • Minister DuPont did it. *sob*
  • My letter! It was stolen! But I know who did it. *sob*
  • The police have turned the house upside down and inside out searching for this letter, so let's hope Dupin can find it...
  • The police have already turned this place upside down, so what could they possibly want now?
  • Write me a check for the 50000 francs and I will hand over the letter.
  • WHAT! Your ways are strange Dupin...
  • It's a simple message. "My revenge is better than your crime."
  • As I was at DuPont's house, I saw a ragged letter on the table. I went home to recreate the letter. Then, I went back to DuPont's house to collect a pillbox that I had left on the table. There was a loud explosion outside, and when DuPont went to the window, I switched the letters.
  • DuPont would have noticed and killed me right on the spot.
  • What did the letter say?
  • Why not just take the letter the first time?
