  • Paris
  • 1. Come here. You must answer everything I ask. Did you work for Laius?
  • 4. Shut your mouth! How dare you speak of that.
  • 5. Stop arguing! You still have not answered this man's question about the boy.
  • 3. Well then. Do you remember giving me a baby boy to raise on my own? CEO Oedipus was once that child!
  • 7. ...I did. I regretted it that very day.
  • 6. So, did you give this man the boy that he speaks of?
  • Paris
  • 8. Where did you get him from? From your house? From somewhere else?

  • 10. Then why did you give him to this man?
  • Paris
  • 11. I pitied the baby, and I thought this man would take him far away. I hope you are not who this man says you are because no man living is more wretched than Oedipus.
  • Paris
  • 12. The fortune was true!!! What have I done?! I'm so ashamed of myself. I wish I could die!
  • 13. Out of all the men in the world, I pity Oedipus the most. He was once the most honored man, but now, he has lost his dignity.
  • Paris
  • 14. I agree. My eyes were blind to the truth behind the mighty Oedipus. Time has finally caught up with him, and revealed the dreadful reality.
