Storyboard Text

  • At arms, gentlemen! On my signal, we advance!
  • We have them surrounded, soldiers! Bring them no mercy!
  • HUZZAH!!
  • My fellow brothers, join me in arms! For the sake of our freedom, let us fight the British!
  • It's a deal!
  • It was a momentous day on the Peninsula of Yorktown. Amidst the fields of Virginia, two groups battled for victory, but only one would gain that treasure.
  • BRITISH
  • Ah! Those puny colonists will never stand a chance! Another easy win for the King...
  • In 1781, the colonists had had enough of the tyranny of Britain. With the help of General George Washington, troops were gathered to relinquish their freedom.
  • GASP!  We're Trapped!
  • The colonists felt a stronger chance to succeed when they were approached by the British, who offered to help them overthrow the British.
  • Prepare for battle, men! We shall conquer this territory just as we have conquered the New World!!
  • Envigorated, the Franco-American troops began their war preparations. The British had no idea the surprise that was in store for them.
  • Alright, men. I have a simple plan that will knock the British right off their high-horses!
  • FRANCO-AMERICAN
  • The colonists had developed a brilliant plan.  General Washington's main troops would march straight to the location of the British. The French naval troops would block the British escape route by sea, and the other American troops would block their route by land.
  • By September 28 of that year, the British were in hot water. Nonetheless, they began to prepare for the war that was coming.
