British was fed up with colonial antics. They hated how they were boycotting and as a result they started the Tea Act.
This is nonsense!
Because of the Tea Act, Colonists get upset and cause the Boston Tea Party. The British thought they should pay for their crimes, and started the Intolerable Acts.
We have had enough!
General Thomas Gage was a general appointed by King George III as the new military governor of Massachusetts
The punishment for the colonists was a series of acts that consisted of The Boston Ports act, the Massachusetts Gov. Act, Administration of Justice Act, and the Quebec Act.
Throughout the colonies, the message was clear: what could happen in Massachusetts could happen anywhere. The British had gone too far and Parliament was fed up with it. Due to these acts, on September 5, 1774, the first Continentla Congress was established.
