Solid The ice is a solid. The Particles in the ice are not moving, tightly packes, and vibrating. The particles have a low KE.
Liquid The heat from the sun melted the ice. The Particles are now not tightly packed but lightly touching and sliding against eachother and have a low KE.

Gas The heat from the sun haeted the particles in the water more than before. The particles started to move wildly and rapidly, boincing off of one another becoming a gas and evaporated. the KE of the particles is at the highest it can be.
