My name is Maximillien Robespierre and I was a radical leader during the French Revolution.
I, Louis XVI, became the King of France in 1774. I was the last King of France before the fall of the monarchy during the French Revolution. I was sadly executed before I was done ruling.
The government during the French Revolution was split into factions. A faction is a small organized group within a larger one. The Jacobins and the Girondins were the dominant factions in the French National Convention. They sat in the higher benches. The Plain were filled with uncommitted voters and sat in the lower benches.
We are the Committee of Public Safety. We were set up after Louis XVI's execution.
Maximillien Robespierre was a French lawyer and politician. He became the Jacobin leader. He was arrested and executed by the National Convention due to his harsh rule.
We are part of the National Assembly. After Louis XVI was executed, we made social reforms.
Louis XVI was executed due to being convicted of conspiracy with foreign powers. He was sentenced to death by the French National Convention on January 21, 1793.
After Louis XVI was executed, there was the Committee of Public Safety. The Committee of Public Safety's main purpose was to defend France from its enemies, either foreign or domestic, and to oversee the already existing groups of the executive government.
A social reform is a type of social movement that makes gradual changes to parts of the society. Some of the reforms the National Assembly made were equal justice/ freedom, the Catholic Church doesn't have all the power, and a limited monarchy, though the king could enforce laws.
