  • Parents tell their kids "I'll protect you, nothing will ever hurt you." But deep down they know that there are people in this world that are dead on the inside. and can hurt their children when they are out of  sight.
  • A parent will always worry about their kids.
  • Narration

  • A rapist doesn't just hurt one person they hurt their loved ones as well.
  • Confirmation-Novel

  • After being raped and people not believing her Maya felt like she was   put on display as the girl that     accused the star of the town.
  • "For the perpetrator, rape lasts just a matter of minutes. For the victim, it never stops" (Backman, 177).
  • A Rapist is already dead on the inside for being capable of what they did. Now the only thing to do is declare their actions as inhumane.
  • Confirmation-Research
  • Victims begin to stay quiet because the rapist acts as if they did nothing wrong. The victim soon will think that it was their fault so they stay quiet but this is not right.
  •  (Rape and Sexual Assault). " national rape rate to be 41.7 reported rapes per 100,000 people 19.4 percent increase in the number of reported rapes since 2013....This percentage dropped to 23.2 percent in 2016 before rising to 40.4 percent in 2017". This proves that acts against rapist have been happening so what will change now?
  • A Rapist does damage to the victim not just physically, but mentally as well.
  • Concession/Refutation
  • The victim soon will only be able to think of that horrifying experience. It will haunt them for the rest of their lives.
  • Conclusion
  • As time goes on people seem to loose who the real victim is because some people defend the  wrong person because they "know" them. The victim will notice and make them back down and not finish telling the truth.
  • "32.5 percent of respondents in 2015 who stated that they were the victims of such crimes reported them to police. This percentage dropped to 23.2 percent in 2016 before rising to 40.4 percent in 2017".
  • Even though people say that they have been trying to change and make it better they can change if they really want to. You can do what ever you put your mind to.
  • People can change is they really want to. They can make the world a better place for parents to raise their kids.
  • Be the person that stands up to a rapist and try to be there for the victim because they will need it.
  • People need to stand up to rapist and show them that what they did was inhuman and caused a lot of lose in  self value of the victim.
