i wonder how cellular respiration works?
well i think it starts with the glycolysis and that happens in the cytoplasmic fluid cell it begins the process by first breaking glucose into two molecules of a three compound called pyruvate and that takes place in the mitochondria and the pyruvate is oxidized to a two- carbin compound and then the citric acid completes the breakdown of glucose to carbon dioxide
really ?, what proccess does it continue?
well the cell makes a small amount of ATP during the glycolysis and the citric acid cycle and that leads to the third stage witch is the Oxidative Phosphorylation and that requires and electron transport chain and a process known as chemiosmosis
where does it all happen though?
NADH and a related electron carrier, FADH2 transport chain embedded in the inner mitochondrial membrane
so you said it takes place in the mitochondria, correct ?
this is a lot of information but its interesting,so what else happens?
actually there are multiple stages like for example we are about to enter stage three
does this just happen in one stage or are there multiple things it has to go threw?
