  • My ears!
  • I hate these handicaps!
  • George and Hazel are a married couple. Everyone is equal. Hazel has average intelligence but George is very smart and has to have handicaps. They have a gifted son Harrison who is in jail. They are watching ballerinas on TV in their home.
  • George complains about his handicaps in his ears
  • Why am I crying!
  • George continues to complain about his his handicaps.
  • Be like me!
  • NO!
  • Then suddenly their son Harrison takes over the TV set and declares himself emperor and takes one of the ballerinas his wife and shows off his differences. The handicapper general then comes in and shoots Harrison and the ballerina.
  • Watching live on TV George and Hazel start but the feeling passes as they become confused why they are crying
  • The theme of this story that forcing unification will only create animosity and have the opposite effect as intended.
