Storyboard Text

  • Awesome!
  • Today, I just want us to spend time together writing. You can pick to write about anything!
  • I liked that Santa and his reindeer weren't supposed to be there yet. It was a big mix up.
  • I love the story you wrote. What do you like about it?
  • I can add dialogue.
  • I noticed you added a lot of details about what you were thinking and saying when Santa showed up. How can we show you were talking?
  • By using quotation marks! I'll try it
  • How do you show that?
  • I just wrote down what I was thinking.
  • You did a great job of adding dialogue to your story. I noticed you also changed the story between drafts.
  • Thanks. I guess I did add that! I can add "I thought" before or after it to show that I didn't say it out loud.
  • You are editing in your head! Awesome job! I noticed some of your dialogue you included were your thoughts. That's called inner dialogue.
  • I think I will add inner dialogue to chapter 2 of my story!
  • That would be perfect! Inner dialogue is a great way for our reader to know more about what the characters are thinking.
