  • The Battle of Brooklyn was the first battle of the American Revolutionary War and occurred on August 27, 1776, in Brooklyn, New York. The Americans did not have many trained and capable soldiers compared to the British side.
  • Winter At Valley Forge
  • I am Martha Washington, and I helped the soldiers during the hardships at Valley Forge.
  • The Battles of Trenton and Princeton were two battles that occurred after the Christmas holidays in New Jersey. The British/Hessians did not expect to be fighting right after the holidays, which gave the Americans the upper hand and the win in both battles. This increased the morale of the American troops overall.
  • Guilford Courthouse
  • The Battle of Saratoga was two battles that occurred in Saratoga, New York. The first battle that occurred on September 19, 1777, was a phyrric victory. On the other hand, the Americans won the second battle on October 7, 1777, and made a pivotalalliance with France.
  • Battle/Siege of Yorktown
  • Freedom!
  • Valley Forge is a place where soldiers would live during the winter. The conditions were rough, with more people dying there than actual battles.
  • The Southern Campaign of Guilford Courthouse was a battle that occured on March 15, 1781 between American General Nathaniel Greene and British general Charles Cornwallis. The weather was cold and harsh, so soldiers did not last very long. The victory went to the Americans.
  • The Battle/Siege of Yorktown was a battle fought on October 9, 1981 and was the last battle of the American Revolutionary War. This battle was fought because the American and French troops captured the British army, and the Americans won the battle and their freedom.
